He is working hard with Matt Moyer, SFI CompOps, to get our site attached to the main SFI site. You can see the DCCO site at
http://correyops.sfilabs.org. Also Dave is now the official CO of SS Deep Space 2 SFR 202 in Region 2. ongratulations Dave!

Shell and Dave have been bringing me up to speed on turnover and administrative functions. Mike Urvand, Ops and Matt Moyer, CompOps have been working with Dave and I on getting the business communications going so a lot of thanks goes out to everyone especially to Dave Lowe.

So if there is anything Dave or I can help you with please let us know. We will give it our best try. Have a great night and a Happy New Year.

Howdy to all Correy COs and XOs,

Here are the groups who reported in for the month of October of 2007.

Region One - SS Bennu, USS Charleston, ISS Deliverance, USS Dragon’s Fury, USS Excalibur, USS Jurassic, SS Nikola Tesla, USS Pathfinder, USS Rutledge, and USS Tiger.

Region Two - SS Deep Space 2.

Region Three - USS Azrael, USS Aurora Vulcanus, and SS Freedom III.

Region Four - USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Five - USS Jaguar and USS Wildhorse.

Region Six - USS Saint George.

Region Seven - USS Blackheart, USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, USS Hecate, and USS Matrix.

Region Eight - USS Dauntless.

Region Nine - USS Albion, USS Aviator, USS Europe, and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Eleven - USS Southern Cross.

Region Twelve -USS Morning Star.

Region Fourteen - USS Magellan.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Correy Changes:

We have the USS Atlantis from Region Ten / Eleven coming to the family. We have had other additions such as Region Seven’s Blackheart and Hecate. Region Three now has the USS Azrael. The MacArthur has changed into the SS Deep Space 2. The White Star went to correy moving into Twelve. One needs a new scorecard.

Correy Activities:

These are a combo of September and October reports. Never have a computer melt down and then have to go out of town for three weeks.

The correys had a lot of social fun in the Fall. The Edinburgh hosted the Region Seven Conference in September. The Debraak reports it was fun and productive. The Onizuka, the Peacekeeper, and the Stormbringer attended the Region 4 Conference in Las Vegas at Star Trek: The Experience. They had a blast closing down Quark’s Bar. Lucky.

The Bennu assisted the USS TriStar with Boo at the Zoo. The Annual Haunted House tour taking place at Waverly Sanitarium was enjoyed by the Deliverance. Very fitting for Halloween.

Members of the Ian Fleming attended the Region Fifteen bowling event taking the best chapter average and the highest individual score. The Wildhorse came out in force for the USS Rubicon anniversary pirate party. Deep Space 2 had a get together to discuss fun and reinventing themselves. The crew of the Blackheart talked a lot on IRC and discussed any number of inane things, up to and including the comedy of errors that plagued their launch. I thought that was the fun way to do it. <G>

As we gear up for the holidays, community work was a major focus. The DeBraak continues to help the Pickle Project providing needed items for women caught between making too much to apply for assistance and not
enough to make ends meet. The Charleston crew knits and crochets items for the MUSC NNICU. Members of the Morning Star performed in a benefit concert, helping to raise funds for local Counseling Assistance Program. The cooks of the Onizuka gearing up for their annual cookie runs in to deliver homemade goodies to the police and firefighters over the holidays.

Of course where there were cons, correy was there. Vanguard members went to the F.A.C.T.S. Convention. Excalibur’s con goers experienced Vulkon Cleveland. Mile Hi Con 39 was enjoyed by the Moontype. USS Wildhorse members attended the comic book con BelCon, while the Azrael supported Fencon. Dragoncon was the away trip for correys such as the Charleston, the Azrael, the Dauntless, and the Nikola Tesla.

Special projects are going strong. The Dauntless continues weekly radio segment on the Klingon language. The Europe increasing recruitment on the web communities. The webmasters of the Dragon’s Fury are working on
updates. The Aviator’s bridge is now done and construction of the engine room has started in Second Life.

A sub domain has been setup to promote online games for players of the Vanguard at http://webgames.ussvanguard.org. Project SETI is running smoothly with USS Anubis currently using three computers.

The Southern Cross finalized development of both its writers group and a new RPG group. The Matrix has started New RPG A Stitch In Time while Rutledge writers are involved in fanzine fan fiction again.

The best MSR goes to the Jurassic for under the comments: Too tired to comment. Fall was like that.

Correy Ops:

Well fall was a comedy of errors, but I am happy to say all of the records are replaced from the crash. You should see my new system and no I have not killed it yet. Both the last Correy Contact PDF and our
mailing list of chapters are complete. Email me privately if you want a copy of either for your files. I hope to do my last Correyspondence once all the November reports are in.

We have a new website at http://correyops.sfilabs.org. I want to thank Dave Lowe for an awesome job. There will be some updates that need to be done and that list will be passed on the next Correy Ops.

In July of 1998, I started the most wonderful adventure of Correy Ops. I have so many to thank. To my Fleet Bosses - the Chiefs of Operations, I learned so much from each and hug you for giving me the opportunity to
serve. To ShOC, thank you for the information sharing and the teamwork. To my Assistants, Gentlemen you were great support, wonderful sounding boards, and I bless you for enlightening my computer knowledge. To the Correy Family, yu’all have enriched my existence in ways I cannot begin to express. From meeting folks from around the globe to the notes of friendship, you are the best. It has been a joy and privilege working with you. As I move on to my next fleet post, I know it is this adventure that helped give me the skills to handle it.

To the next Correy Ops, I wish you much success and hope your adventure will be as blessed as mine was.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Michelle

Region Two - ISS MacArthur and USS Rising Moon.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, SS Freedom III, and USS El Destino.

Region Four – USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Five – USS Wildhorse.

Region Six – USS Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, USS Jaguar, ISS Lexington, and USS Matrix.

Region Eight - USS Dauntless.

Region Nine - USS Albion, USS Aviator, USS Europe, and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve – USS Chicago, USS Hellfire & Brimstone, USS Morning Star, and USS Nomad.

Region Fourteen – USS Magellan and USS Southern Cross.

Region Fifteen – USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen – USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - ISS Icarus.

Correy Changes:

The SS Genesis has changed over to meeting. We hate to lose them and wish their crew much success. The Europe has a new CO Isaque Fernandes. Evan Richards III is the new CO of Freedom III. We welcome Region Nine’s the USS Aviator commanded by Michael Vermosesen and the USS El Destino based in Region Three/Seven leaded by Rhoda Day. The USS Albion has moved to Region Nine. Congratulations to all.

Correy Activities:

As summer heats up, there is no shortage of activities and fun.

Directions and road maps came in handy. The Vanguard enjoyed Dutch Star Con 3, while the Dauntless crew worked a convention held by Science Fiction South Africa. The First Officer from the Tiger visited Las Vegas Hilton, nearly assimilated at the Star Trek Experience: Borg 4D.

Region Three’s Summit in Dallas had attendance from the regional correys of the Aurora Vulcanus and the Freedom III, plus the Jaguar, the Magellan, and the Nomad. A fun time was had by all. The Anubis and the Ian Fleming crews attended the Region Fifteen summit. I have heard reports of Gary Halverson doing the bunny hop with bunny ears. Do you have any pictures?

Some of the Dauntless crew went on a road trip to Disneyland. A Memorial Day Akron Aeros game was attended by the baseball fans of the Excalibur. The Onizuka had several entries in the Silver Dollar Fair in Chico.

Social gatherings were high on the list of activities. The Southern Cross’ emphasis is on their upcoming commissioning. Final arrangements are being made for USS Moontype’s Annual Meeting to be held conjunction with the American Council of the Blind National Convention. Both have fun plans to celebrate.

The USS Chicago held it’s 2nd Annual Memorial Day picnic and donated Trek books to someone on leave from Iraq to take back to the troop. What a wonderful way to remember.

Many of us including the Majestic and the Bennu enjoyed the summer films. Some from the Leahy plays in a Fleet-oriented NASCAR fantasy racing league. Shell is jealous. The Wildhorse discussed the astronomical viewing events for the month and the Messenger spacecraft to Mercury. The Stormbringer was lucky getting to go to the JPL Open House.

Community projects were going strong. The Rutledge continues all of their volunteer activities supporting the US Armed Forces. The Lexington participated in Fleet week thanking service persons they met for serving
their country. Members of the Tesla worked the local Project Graduation. Donating Fruit trees was the Morning Star’s way to celebrated Arbor Day. Both the Jurassic and the Excalibur supported Field Day with plenty of food, fun, and contacts.

Some are working on those chapter projects. The Jaguar is doing some work to their handbook, while the DeBraak’s web site now has its own domain at http://www.USSDeBraak.com. Looking toward the hurricane season the Charleston is scanning all their paper records and backing things up. The Aurora Vulcanus is starting to take older publications to pdfs. As one who did the Rita, I cannot say enough about CDs and flash sticks.

The best MSR goes to the Nomad with the question - Who’ll stop the rain? I wonder that that myself recently.

Well wishes go to the Peacekeeper’s CO James Coulter who is recovering from major surgery.

Congratulations to the Rutledge’s XO Nick Green who was promoted to Captain.

Correy Ops:

You might receive email from me with the address of mrbasilwuzhere@gmail.com. This is not my primary address, but I have found Gmail wonderful for those graphics and huge files.

I will be at IC 07, so please look me up and say howdy.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Fourteen - SS Genesis and USS Southern Cross.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion and ISS Icarus.

Correy Changes:

The USS Mars has decided to decommission. We wish them best of luck on their new fleet posting.

Correy Activities:

With spring in full bloom, many of us were enjoying those social gatherings. The Morning Star celebrated their thirteenth anniversary with a brown bag picnic in a local park and sharing photos of the past. Some of the crew from the Genesis held an informal get together lunch.

Poker was the game of choice for the MacArthur. Deliverance gamers have an active World of Warcraft campaign going on.

Our Away teams went far and wide. The Stormbringer and the Moontype explored the offerings of Denver’s Starfest. Lucky. Members of the DeBraak enjoyed Chiller Con in New Jersey. The Southern Cross attended Terra Nova 5 Con hosted by USS Mawson.

The Freedom III went to Scarborough Faire and experienced snow flurries. Who would have thought for Easter weekend? Race fans from the Aurora Vulcanus had perfect weather for the Grand Prix of Houston.

Summit Season is upon us. Region One’s Bond Themed event was enjoyed by members of the Dragon’s Fury, the Jaguar, the William Leahy, the Rutledge, the Excalibur, and the Charleston. The Hellfire & Brimstone attended the Region Twelve Summit.

The Onizuka took part in the Climate Day for Action held at Chico’s Bidwell Park. The turnout was light due to rain. That is always the way. The Nomad reports - It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring. It’s a wet day in Nomadland, with nothing to report. We know who started the rain.

Of course community projects are going strong. The Wildhorse supported the March of Dimes Walk America with members on the logistic side as well as walking the event. Members of the Dragon’s Cub are gathering book donations for an area library. Both the Lexington and the Hellfire & Brimstone assisted with aid for local flooding. The Jurassic is supporting the Stampede.

Planning was started for the Chicago’s 2nd Annual Memorial Day Picnic. The members on the Ian Fleming worked in preparation for their regional summit. The Independence is creating a sci-fi book club for their members. Members of the Tiger listened to the Pendant Production eRadio program of Star Trek: Defiant, where their Science Officer had a speaking part. They awarded him the “Yellow-Gilled Thespian” award. Don’t you love the name.

The Dauntless cadets are doing great. Matt Donohoe was in the honor roll for the entire school year, while future scientist Margaret Donohoe won first place in the 6th grade Science Fair for her project about tornadoes. We also have to send out well wishes to Cadet Roy Alderman of the Dragon’s Cub who might need eye surgery.

Congratulations to Paul Reed of the Majestic for his first open water scuba dive. After playing with a snorkel, I would love to try this.

Correy Ops:

Getting some things on track for the future web page. Have been emailing our pdf of correy groups to interested parties as well as having it in the membership cd.

I do want to send good thoughts to Dave Lowe and his family while they are waiting for the little one.

Until next time enjoy the adventure and the Memorial Weekend,

Howdy to all Correy COs and XOs,

Here are the groups who reported in for the month of March of 2007.

Region One – SS Bennu, USS Charleston, ISS Deliverance, USS Dragon’s Fury, USS Excalibur, USS Independence, USS Jurassic, USS Mars, SS Nikola Tesla, USS Rutledge, USS Tiger, and SS William D. Leahy.

Region Two - ISS MacArthur and USS Rising Moon.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus and SS Freedom III.

Region Five – USS Wildhorse.

Region Six – USS Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, USS Jaguar, ISS Lexington, and USS Matrix.

Region Eight - USS Dauntless.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve – USS Chicago, USS Hellfire & Brimstone, and USS Morning Star.

Region Fourteen – SS Genesis and USS Southern Cross.

Region Fifteen – USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen – USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion and ISS Icarus.

Correy Changes:

The newest change over to correy is the SS Nikola Tesla based in Region One. Welcome to the family.

New XO for the DeBraak is Tom Rutledge. Congratulations on the new post.

Sadly the SS Deep Space Twelve has closed up shop. Wish them well in their next fleet endeavor.

Correy Activities:

We had so many wonderful activities; everyone was doing a little bit of this and that.

The Morning Star purchased new banners to advertise the Humane Society Garage Sale. Supporting military bases with their coupon clipping is the focus of the scissors of the DeBraak and the Lexington. Charleston members collected and delivered a load of handicrafts for their intensive care unit. The Topeka Polar Bear Plunge had crew from the Hellfire and Brimstone participating.

The Genesis reports they had first productive month of web and handbook development. The USS Vanguard website has been completely renewed check it out at: http://www.ussvanguard.org. Second Life and trivia is going strong for the Europe. The Deliverance is working on a fan film. The Jaguar continues to use their energy and talents for the fleet, from fun podcasts to the print media, they are cooking. We certainly have many skilled folks.

The Academy is getting plenty of students from such groups as the Southern Cross, the Magellan, and the Majestic.

The away mission to the Scottish game doubled as a birthday party for members of the Dragon’s Cub. The Tampa RenFest received the MacArthur time travelers. The Ambassador-At-Large for Onizuka experienced shuttlecraft problems, requiring the services of a repair facility. I know the feeling.

The Ian Fleming’s bartender went on an away mission to Daytona Florida working the motorcycle weekend. They report loads of credits gathered from the thirsty aliens. Speaking of credits, the regular poker night is growing larger for card players of the Wildhorse.

The Dragon’s Fury made final preparations for Summit 007. Understand from the early reviews, awesome weekend.

The Jurassic states for Problems - None that they can think of. They’ll try harder next month. The Independence reports the abyss had a bright light at the end of the tunnel, I thought that was the on coming train. The Saint George crew’s is coming out of cryogenic freeze. Yes it is spring, finally.

The Bennu wins the best creative usage of film titles in a msr. Hope the four movies were as fun as reading the report.

Correy Ops:

Been a fun and a productive month, I have enjoyed starting to work and getting to know both Dave and Gary better.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Howdy to all Correy COs and XOs,

Here are the groups who reported in for the month of February of 2007.

Region One - SS Bennu, USS Charleston, ISS Deliverance, USS Dragon’s Fury, USS Excalibur, USS Independence, USS Jurassic, Shuttle Mars (last one as shuttle), USS Pathfinder, USS Rutledge, USS Tiger, USS Wasp, and SS William D. Leahy.

Region Two - ISS MacArthur.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, and SS Freedom III.

Region Four - USS Dragon’s Cub, USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Five - USS Wildhorse.

Region Six - USS Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, USS Jaguar, ISS Lexington, and USS Matrix.

Region Eight - USS Dauntless.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve - USS Chicago, USS Hellfire & Brimstone, USS Morning Star, and USS Nomad.

Region Fourteen - USS Southern Cross.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion and ISS Icarus.

Correy Changes:

Congratulations to Shuttle Mars who commissioned this month. May you have many long and interesting fleet adventures. New to the nursery is the USS Genesis, another Australian group. Hope you have much success in chapter building.

The new covert to correy is the ISS Lexington. Welcome to the family. The Shadowphax changed their chapter to the ISS Icarus.

On a sad note, the USS Draco had decommissioned and we wish them well in their next fleet posting.

Correy Activities:

Spring is coming with our groups shaking off the cold, while working hard.

The Morning Star began a joint project with the USS Mir for the stampede. The Charleston was busy supporting the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit and the Warm Up America project. The Rutledge is organizing care packages for Les Rickard once he is deployed to Iraq. What a wonderful idea. Please let us know how we can help.

Roger Scritchfield XO of the Excalibur was named Skywarn coordinator for his local watch group. We have others on the list that do Skywarn, thanks to all of you for your hard work. The ISS Deliverance took the Polar Bear Plunge in the Ohio River, raising 800 dollars for Special Olympics. The crew of the Chicago started to lay out the groundwork to raise money for autism awareness, research & treatment.

The Southern Cross established their Cadet Corps while the Vanguard cadets assembled free web browsers games to play at http://webgames.ussvanguard.org. Cadet Elly Alderman of the Dragon’s Cub made Student of the Month for February. Way to go.

Several members of the Onizuka took part in the Martin Luther King Jr. statue unveiling that took place at Community Park, enjoying the sunshine while others suffered with snow. <G> When the CO of the Moontype was at Guide Dog School she had the opportunity to talk about fleet with other classmates and recruited a few.

The Tiger is exploring doing an internet radio series, very interesting. First issue of the Matrix new formatted newsletter was released. Slow month for the William S. Leahy, so they take downtime in their five star lounge for caramel apples.

Once again Rocket Day for the Mars was postponed due in part to the weather and to the CO’s launch pad is missing. So if you see a launch pad, report it to them. <G>

Social was on the calendar. The Wildhorse celebrated their commissioning at the Region Five summit. The Dauntless held a function commemorating the launch of Region Eight.

The Debraak and the Edinburgh sent away teams to Farpoint. Locals cons were on the schedule for the Wasp. The 32nd annual 24 hour Boston SciFi Movie Marathon caused sleep deprivation for the Ian Fleming, but they report their mission to see robots of all kinds was a success. The Bennu also hit the movies.

The Jurassic records on their MSR winter is too long. Think there are many who would agree with that. I applaud the Jaguar for using the word illustrious in their MSR. <G>

The USS Nomad has voted to decommission later this year on their 15th anniversary with a grand party. If one has to turn in the keys, I love doing it in this manner.

Correy Ops:

Things are humming along for spring and looking forward to the sunshine.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Howdy All,

I am looking for a talented and hard working person to be my new Correy Assistant.

Normally a CO or XO fills this slot, but I will consider anyone currently serving on a correy chapter. I would prefer someone who has some experience being a correy member verse you just took the plunge. One does not necessarily have to be a web person or have web space available. When I was the assistant that was handled by the director. Would it be a plus, yes, will it block one from being considered, no. I am looking for someone who cares about correy and wants to be more involved in Fleet. Someone who can assist me whether it means helping with the recruiting materials or keeping track of current information.

Deadline for putting in for the slot is March 20. Email me privately at mrbasil@flash.net if you are interested. I say privately, so I can sit down and chat with you, get to know who you are. Fleet and real life resume is also very helpful.

My thanks for your attention and for getting the word out to your members.

Howdy to all Correy COs and XOs,

Normally we list the reporting groups. I didn’t get a chance to check my list more than once before the database moved, so instead of me rushing and missing some one, I am just saying thank you to all who reported in January.

Correy Changes:

With their commissioning the Shuttle Escape Pod is now the USS Wildhorse. Congratulations and many happy fleet adventures. The New CO of the MacArthur is Kirylyn Dreamer. Congratulations on the promotion.

Both the Antonio Maria Valsalva and the Panther City have concluded their fleet service. They will be missed and we wish their crews success in their next fleet assignments.

Correy Activities:

As we started recovery from the holidays, all of us got into high gear with various activities.

For community projects, many finished out the year helping where they could. The Morning Star reports thanks to a generous donor, they were able to offer a special New Year’s meal with baked ham and all the trimmings. The Jurassic had another great year with their Afghan Project of blankets, booties, and dolls. Maintaining volunteer efforts on behalf of United States Armed Forces is the proud duty of the Rutledge.

Many of us took time off. The Onizuka after all the baking for cookie runs, just sat around and relaxed. The crew of the Chicago celebrated the holidays by taking the month off. Taking it easy while planning on some fiction writing was on the schedule for the William A. Leahy.

Social is always a major activity beginning of the year. The Southern Cross held a brief ‘hello/how are you’ meeting. The commissioning party for the Tiger had a Trek themed dinner with two Trek flicks. The Wasp is getting together for Sci-Fi’s Enterprise Mondays.

The New Year’s Party at the StormCellar was a huge success for the Stormbringer with fun and consumption of mass quantities. Members of the Ian Fleming enjoyed the New Year’s celebration, attending the concert of the group ‘Usually Normal’. Don’t you love the name? A family party for ringing in the year was held by the Dragon’s Cub.

The Panther City, the Freedom III, and the Aurora Vulcanus enjoyed Region Three’s Dallas Retreat. The mission to the largest Half Price Books I have ever seen was worth the trip.

For many it was busy, busy with those plans for 2007. New RPG for the Matrix ‘Pirates of Orion’ is due to start soon. Love the title. The Moontype is working with a web designer to handle the needs of the visually impaired. New web design was unveiled for the MacArthur. The USS DeBraak received their Vessel Readiness Certification. The Jaguar is doing roster/web updates as well as their fleet duties. Please share what gives you the energy.

For the members of the Vanguard on line gaming continues, while the Dauntless had an article on STCCG published in a South African gaming magazine. The Magellan welcomed a member from Cuba. The two Vs - Video night and Volunteering are the plan for the USS Majestic. The Mars is
plugging away with computer hours for SETI and STARDUST projects.

The Saint George is arranging a commissioning party for their baby the USS Riverside. Preparations for the Region One Summit 007 continue for workers from the Dragon’s Fury.

And many were chatting about the weather, The Excalibur’s ‘It’s flippin’ cold!! Are there any Fleet members in the tropics who can put us up for the next week’ to the Nomad’s ‘Baby, it’s cold outside’. Even Houston got the freeze.

My favorite line in a MSR goes to the Charleston, with Ah well, life is never boring… All too true. <G>

The Independence mourned the passing of Craig Wood Jr. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

On the good news front, Owen Swart, CO of the Dauntless is the Acting Regional Coordinator for Region 8. Congratulations to your new post.

Correy Ops:

My thanks to the folks who have already emailed about the assistant’s job. And a bigger thank you to the groups who have posted on their chapter’s list.

We are also updating the list, so if I have a question about addresses, you will be hearing from me this month.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Here are the groups who reported in for the month of December of 2006.

Region One - SS Bennu, USS Charleston, ISS Deliverance, USS Dragon’s Fury, USS Excalibur, USS Independence, USS Jurassic, USS Pathfinder, USS Rutledge, Shuttle Mars, Shuttle Tiger, USS Wasp, and SS William D. Leahy.

Region Two - USS Dauntless, ISS MacArthur, and USS Rising Moon.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, SS Freedom III, and USS Panther City.

Region Four - USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Five - Shuttle Escape Pod.

Region Six - USS Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, USS Jaguar, ISS Kerberos, and USS Matrix.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve - USS Antonio Maria Valsalva, USS Chicago, USS Morning Star, and USS Nomad.

Region Fourteen -USS Southern Cross.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion, ISS Shadowfax, and USS Silverwolf.

Correy Changes:

The USS DeBraak has a new CO George Ann Wheeler. The Dauntless is in the process of changing COs (Owen Swart) and moving to Region Eight. Congratulations on the new post to both of you.

The ISS Kerberos has decided to decommission. We wish their crew well in their next fleet experience.

And we have this news flash - the USS Tiger and the USS Chicago commissioned this weekend. Congratulations to both these fine groups. May your journeys be smooth and filled with fun.

Correy Activities:

All of us enjoyed the holidays and the various activities they bring.

Community works were being performed by many of us. The Morning Star’s CO rang the bells for the Salvation Army. Edinburgh members collected food for the Maryland Food Bank, as well as toys for the Marine’s Toys for Tots Campaign. Charity work was the focus for the Southern Cross
with support of the Starship Children’s Hospital and fund raising assistance for the Manukau Volunteer Coast Guard. The USS Rutledge dispatched over 1,000 pairs of donated Sweat Pants/Sweat Shirts and Socks to US Theatre Field Hospital to assist wounded troops stay warm. That’s a lot of items.

Some of us continued with those chapter projects. Designing new web newsletter is the plan for the Matrix. Researching the Star Trek online game is homework for the Wasp. The MACO Unit of the Deliverance completed their World of Warcraft campaign. USS Europe members are getting more into Second Life. The Tiger made plans for their commissioning.

Social happenings were front and center for the season. Rocky Balboa was the film for the Bennu’s movie night, giving it a great review. The Dauntless had movie and gaming events in four locations. While vacationing at the Star Trek Experience the command team of the Moontype
encountered one crewmember and signed up a brand new member. Now that is the way to spend a trip.

Members of the Jaguar enjoyed various holiday vacations and parties. Some of the crew from the Silverwolf met up for a Christmas drink. Members of the Ian Fleming and the Anibus attended the Region Fifteen Christmas party complete with Holiday Bingo. The Christmas celebration for the Rising Moon was at Capt Arthur’s. The Onizuka got together with the Cascade Station for their annual gift exchange and turkey dinner. The Majestic had a few members went out for dinner on New Year’s Eve. Shoveling snow out of the driveway was the pre party preparation for the Stormbringer’s annual NYE party.

In between the holiday fun folks from the Vanguard, the MacArthur, the DeBraak, and the Chicago, kept plugging away at those academy courses.

And on the Bob Vila front the engineers of USS Dragon’s Fury completed the new CO quarters, while the Escape Pod’s addition of the wine cellar and holo deck, rates them as luxury pod. Obviously some ships have a bigger budget, than others.

Best thoughts for this year. The USS Antonio Maria Valsalva states they are getting it done and having fun! Sounds like a great bumper stick to me. In 2007, the Shadowphax intends to concentrate on FUN, fun and more fun.

Best line in a MSR goes to the Jurassic for Problems: Let me check in the closet … nope, no problems lurking there. Maybe some dust bunnies under the bed. <Grin> A reminder, I need to do that spring cleaning.

On the good news front, The Rutledge CO Bill Herrmann was elected the RC of Region One. Both Robin Pillow (CO Pathfinder) and Robbie Lewis (CO Excalibur) were appointed as VRCs. Congratulations to you all.

Correy Ops:

I learned never do back to back trips - great for the packing, not so good for the typing. The cruise was outstanding. The scenery and stargazing was totally worth the smoking credit cards. Yes, I am back to reality.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion, ISS Shadowfax, and USS Silverwolf.

Correy Changes:

New XO for the Independence is Pete Yohe. The Matrix has a new XO, Dave Jamison. Greenwald Aspinall assumed her new duties as the Silverwolf’s new XO. Congratulations to all.

The Pathfinder has moved to Region One.

The newest correy baby is the USS Southern Cross attached to Region Fourteen and based in Region Eleven. Hope you have many adventures and successful projects during your shakedown cruise.

Correy Activities:

As Fall wrapped up, all of us were having productive as well as fun activities.

On the charity front, the Dragon’s Fury donated food to a West Virginia food bank, while the William D. Leahy is assisting in Operation Eagle. Sherry Anne Newell CO of the Morning Star cut her long, long brown hair for Locks of Love. What a wonderful thing to do.

Getting together was on the calendar. The Tiger’s movie nights continue with Star Trek V. The Majestic watched the latest DVD offerings of X-Men III and Over the Hedge. The Bennu members attended the monthly movie outing of the Tri-Star. Members of the Wasp going more into gaming fun. The ISS MacArthur has started a rpg based on the mirror universe. What else?

The Shadowphax crew held a launch party with the Saratoga. The Charleston celebrated their anniversary with other Region One chapters at the Riverbanks Zoo. The Aurora Vulcanus away team enjoyed the Wings Over Houston Air show. The Escape Pod gathered at the Applebee’s to
celebrate the Chief Saboteur’s birthday. How does one get the chapter position? <G>

Of course, Halloween was the primary happening for many of us. The Deliverance participated in the Joes Older than Dirt Halloween Charity Bash and received costume awards. The Halloween celebration for the Dragon’s Cub was great for the kids.

Cons were still on the away teams schedules. The Vanguard went to both the FACTS and the Utopia Convention. The Strombringer’s the mission to throw a party at Denver’s Mile Hi Con was very successful. Members of the Moontype also attended the event. New Jersey’s Chiller convention and dinner afterwards was enjoyed by Debraak members. Several crew members from the Dauntless supported tribble fund raising for the American Cancer Society during Orlando’s Vulkon.

The Excalibur reported in with a tour of North Carolina and Tennessee as their NASCAR race shops vacation, visiting members as they traveled. As someone who plans their IC route by where the tracks are, I support more of these.

On the good news front, Craig Wood III, CO of the Independence was promoted to Fleet Captain. The Jaguar’s Susan Ueffing was appointed to Chief of Computer Operations. Mike Malotte of the William Leahy is now the Fleet’s Promotions Director. The Peacekeeper’s Chrissy Killian was
elected the Regional Coordinator of Four.

Correy Ops:

I have a new boss, Johnathan Simmons. I wish Jack Eaton much success and will miss working with him. I am looking forward to working with Gumby and am bring him up to speed on what Correy is doing.

I am also experiencing some hard drive problems, hopefully that can be resolved over the next week. If not, you know what I will be asking Santa for.

The Holiday Issue of Correyspondence should be out before Christmas. Look for it on your local news stand. <G>

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Shell needs a new scorecard or a better eraser. <G>

Correy Activities:

All of us closed out the summer with fun and social gathering of all types. The Antonio Maria Valsalva got look at all the pretty rocks at St. Louis Gem & Mineral Show. Members of the Ian Fleming joined the monthly meeting of the USS Ares for ten-pin bowling. The USS Jurassic’s
twelfth anniversary party was reviewed as fabulous with swimming, boat rides, and a wacky card game Fluxx. I have to check that one out.

A contingent from the Escape Pod attended the anniversary celebration for the USS Rubicon. Cadets from the Dragon’s Cub went to the country fair. Deep Space 12 enjoyed Civil War Reenactments.

And we had some interesting descriptions. The Onizuka had an away mission to Funland to engage in fun by knocking little colored balls around a designated course (miniature golf). The Hellfire & Brimstone journeyed to see gladiatorial combat in Wichita, returning without incident (WWE Smackdown taping).

Community outreach received a lot of support over the last months. The Pride of Scotland donated and toured with the USS Nightstalker, Old Friends, an equine retirement home. The Deliverance participated in charity walks for everything from AIDs, to breast cancer. The Excalibur
worked a PBS telethon with members of USS Ohio.

Poker players of the MacArthur held tourney benefiting bone marrow testing. Volunteering for a local literacy program is being done by the Dauntless. The Morning Star assisted with a fundraiser for local family counseling center. Mars computers are working hard looking for cosmic material for NASA/JPL’s STARDUST@Home.

Saint George is getting ready for those holiday season projects. No, I don’t want to think about it.

Many got the fun of making the con scene. Both the Wasp and the Stormbringer attended DragonCon. Understand the Bringer’s BSG costumes took top honors. Mountain Con was enjoyed by the Moontype, Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con by the Debraak.

And lucky away teams got to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Trek. The Stormbringer and The Freedom Three had folks at the 40th Anniversary Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas. Creation’s Seattle event had a Jaguar presence. Tiger members enjoyed seeing Star Trek The Experience over the summer.

Think all have recovered from IC 2006. It was so great seeing such groups as the Matrix, the Dragon’s Fury, the Debraak, the William D. Leahy, the Deliverance, the Majestic, the Jaguar, the Magellan, the Bennu Station, the Stormbringer, the Escape Pod, the Aurora Vulcanus, the Edinburgh, in attendance. It was so nice to meet more of the folks I see listed in the MSRs.

Of course chapter projects are keeping many of us busy. The Chicago’s crew continues with recruitment drives and possible fundraising activities. The Dragon’s Fury and the Glory are discussing joint recruiting efforts. Nice to see groups working together.

Restructuring and volunteerism is on the schedule for USS Rutledge, while Space Station Leahy is working on getting fully operational in Region One. ‘Revamp, Rebuild, Recruit’ phase initiated aboard Charleston with a new domain and website. Sounds like a plan to me.

The Shadowfax is busy working on their first newsletter Event Horizon, while the Aurora Vulcanus has her web crayons out. Members of the Dauntless are working with the USS Myrddin to made tribbles for adoption at Vulkon. The Wasp is planning movie nights with a Trek focus, all sci-fi will be viewed.

The Independence reports it has been a long month, for everyone, to simply state that everything is moving alone. Amen to that.

Best line in a MSR goes the Schweitzer with for their change of command; new CO is Charles Foster Kane with the comments of Rosebud. Will you do other Orson Welles movies? And to the Nomad in the Comment section - Comments are for the weak. Silence is for the strong. And we really like cheese. In case they are on your holiday list, now you know what to purchase.

On the good news front, the crew of the Richthofen celebrated the marriage of their First Officer Karen Mitchell and Second Officer Chris Carothers. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Correy Ops:

I really thank folks for their patience while my schedule has been crazy. With the exception of finding a new home for the website, things are almost there.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Happy Halloween.

Region Fourteen - USS Magellan.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion and Shuttle Britannia.

Correy Changes:

Larry Jones is the new XO of the Morning Star. Congratulations. It is now the ISS Deliverance, hope you have many interesting journeys exploring the Empire.

Correy Activities:

While we are enjoying the final days of summer, Correy groups are everywhere doing a little bit of this and that.

In the community service offerings, the Mars is adding up those SETI hours. Donating computer equipment and clothes to Good Will was done by the Pride of Scotland. Hellfire & Brimstone members helped with a first aid station for a local run. The ISS Macarthur teamed with other star
Trek and Sci-Fi Groups to raise funds for bone marrow testing drive. The Morning Star reports -It’s a good thing that Starfleet Charities are “cool,” because we are certainly baking in the heat down here.

Chapter projects are going strong. The Britannia is hunting for fresh faces. The USS Europe is getting more and more active in Second Life, where one can hold promotion parties in a 3D world. They recommend it for any correy and you can check it out at www.secondlife.com.

Peacekeeper members gathered for a fun poker night. Writers on the Rutledge are busy crafting material for all to enjoy. The Vanguard reports the summer holidays have put some of the crew in vacation mode. Nice mode to enjoy. The Normandy crew preparing for the future listened to David Bowie… as they convert over the Leahy. Crank it up.

The flicks were on the schedule. The Escape Pod hit Pirates of the Caribbean, then retired to a Wizkids Pirate game. The Bennu reports about an away mission to earth, with a strange powerful person from another planet saving people and fighting crime. (Superman Returns)

Space exploration was on the calendar. The Tiger’s away mission trip to Kennedy Space Center covered such things as Liberty Bell 7 and the landing of Shuttle Discovery. Members from the Jurassic got to help staff an exhibit at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in uniform.

Trips far and wide were booked for our crews. The USS Dragons Fury attended the Pittsburgh Toy Show. Such chapters as the Matrix, the Edinburgh, and the Debraak attended Shore Leave. The Saint George hit Demicon and Convergence.

The Moontype’s presentation during the American Council of the Blind National Convention on disability as portrayed throughout Star Trek, was a great success. It sounds like a wonderful way to share and discuss experiences.

The members of the Ian Fleming attended the Region Fifteen Mini-Golf Tournament and BBQ. They report plenty of food and fun occurred despite the fact that the heavens opened up in biblical proportions. The Ambassador-at-Large for the Onizuka traveled between several members’
homes to renew face-to-face acquaintances. The Anubis toured Boston when their Command staff got together.

Being summer, we also took time to be social. The Stormbringer hung out during their annual summer party. Many of us including Deep Space 12 and the Charleston celebrated the 4th of July holiday. The Majestic journeyed to the Shuttle Bondar’s summer picnic.

Of course Fleet’s best party IC 2006 in Philadelphia, was attended by many us. Some of us just have not reported in what a great time we had. <G> We had a ton of great news, the commissioning of the Deliverance, Shuttle of the Year going to the Excalibur, Mothership to
my own Aurora Vulcanus, and Lifetime Membership to The Freedom III’s Brad Pense. I have to thank the folks who have congratulated me on Flag Officer. I am still in shock and was very touched by the honor.

Best line in an MSR goes the Schweitzer with No Flag Officers were harmed in the production of their MSR. I want to know if it was tested on them before selling it to the general public. <G>

On the good news front, the Albion’s CO Raymond Spiteri was promoted to Fleet Captain on being elected as RC for Region Twenty. The Chicago welcomed their newest recruit Abigail Marie Hurd. Congratulations to the proud parents.

Edith Padgett is taking some time off due to illness; we wish her a speedy recovery.

Correy Ops:

One of my joys at IC was finally after all these years, meeting my talented Correy Assistant Joe Hoolihan. Then he gets himself elected RC of Seven. <G> I am thrilled he is moving on to wonderful horizons and wish him all the best. Joe will be keeping the website up for a time,
while I explore some options before officially opening up the hunt. I will miss working with him and thank him for all of his support.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend if you celebrate the holiday.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Fourteen - USS Magellan.

Region Fifteen - USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion and Shuttle Britannia.

Correy Changes:

The Britannia is converting over to correy, welcome the family. Congratulations to the USS Independence on your commissioning. May you have long and happy adventures exploring the Fleet.

USS Rutledge has a new CO William Herrmann. The Richthofen’s XO Robert Hasty is now their CO. Congratulations to you both.

Correy Activities:

As summer goes into high gear, there are so many great activities going, one does not know where to start. And as always it gives one ideas to try for their group.

Independence web workers are busy on a new site. The Dragon’s Breath is the new newsletter of the Dragon’s Fury. A couple of chapter story ideas are bouncing around in the head of the Mars’ CO - they report ‘Yes it hurts.’ Newsletter is out from the MacArthur. A very good read.

The Albion has launched a competition ‘It’s Not Rocket Science - Actually, Yes, It is!’ where contestants are asked to design their own space ship using current technology or technology that is very likely to be a reality in 10-20 years time. Very cool. Members from the Escape Pod attended a lecture on the science of gravitational wave detection.

The Academy is getting a lot of students from such groups the Chicago, the Europe, and the Hellfire and Brimstone. Uniform assembly session was conducted by the Majestic. Several Jaguar members participated in the PokerStars Bloggers Tournament, doing very well. Star Trek CCG
Tournament Team European Championship was very successful for the Vanguard players who placed third.

Members of the Tiger continue their pizza Trek films with The Search For Spock. The Onizuka continues recruitment efforts and working to stay cool in triple-digit heat. Hear that one.

DeBraak members enjoyed actors in the horror industry past and present at Chiller Theatre. The Dauntless helped with Science Fiction South Africa’s Star Trek Minicon, while the Anubis got together for Oxford Plains’ Car Show and Drag Race.

Yes summit season is in full swing. The Saint George attended Region Six summit. Crews from the Freedom III, the Panther City, and the Aurora Vulcanus had an awesome time in Austin for Three’s Summit.

Travels for The Pride of Scotland took to them exploring local towns and historical sites in Mexico, they report enjoying plenty of shopping and eating local fare. The Stormbringer went out to the ball game - Dodgers vs. Rockies.

The Dragon’s Cub reports doing the same things and added collecting books for the Katrina libraries that lost their materials. What a great idea. The Excalibur attended a NASCAR Victory Junction benefit autograph signing. Shell is very jealous. <G>

Some of us including the Jurassic supported Ham Radio’s Field Day or as the Excalibur put it ‘the yearly ordeal’. With the Houston heat, it fits. Hope all made a ton of contacts.

On the good news front, the Richthofen’s Robert Hasty and James Coulter of the Peacekeeper were promoted to Captain. The Saint George got a double treat with XO Jessica Single promoted to Fleet Captain and CO Tom Webster promoted to Commodore. The Aurora Vulcanus celebrates the promotion of our XO Cathleen Fanelli with plans for the Captain Catt action figure. Deep Space 12 earned Region Twelve’s Shuttle of the Year.

Big congratulations to Gary Halverson and Michelle Darrach from the Ian Fleming, who got married. May you have a long and happy life together.

Sad news the Morning Star’s XO Patricia Canada passed away. All are in our thoughts and prayers.

Correy Ops:

Many of us are gearing up for the trip to Philly for the IC. If you are attending, please say howdy. Everyone have a safe trip and I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Seventeen – USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion.

Correy Changes:

The Hell’s Fury is now the USS Dragon’s Fury. The Shuttle Mars has launched in Region One. Welcome to the list Peter Lutz and Richard Jolitz. May you experience much fun and success in chapter building.

Correy Activities:

As we roll into summer, everyone is keeping busy and enjoying Fleet.

Members of the Tiger continue their online Mission Log’s with a trip to DS4. USS Europe is participating in online games such as Army Commander and Stargate Wars. The Matrix is working on a RPG manual, while the Wasp rebuilds their website. The Dauntless’ South African members are setting up some marketing events.

The USS Albion’s net meeting celebrated crew promotions. Independence members went to the movies including The Da Vinci Code and Poseidon Adventure. The Escape Pod held a crew poker game. Plans for their Second Anniversary Celebration at this year’s ACB Convention continue for the Moontype. The Morning Star helped organize volunteers to work at Arts for All Festival.

The Vanguard sent an away team to New Star Con. The Stormbringer supported OPUScon, helping to run the horror and film rooms. Members of the Ian Fleming attended the Region Fifteen Bowling tournament. The MacArthur crew enjoyed the USS Gasparilla’s Dalmutti Tournament. The
Houston Grand Prix was a great hit for racing fans from the Aurora Vulcanus.

The Chicago crew got together for a BBQ. The Onizuka held their annual Memorial Day BBQ. The Deliverance hosted a Louisville Mojo party for a returning member. Rumors have the Normandy had quite a party in the rec deck and thank the maker for cruise control.

Summits are on the schedule for all. The Region One Summit had such correy groups as the Pride of Scotland, the Bennu Station, the Dragon’s Fury, and the Excalibur. The summit for Region Twelve had attendees from the Hellfire & Brimstone and the Nomad.

For their commissioning the Excalibur received a replica of the famous sword, very nice. They also picked up Shuttle of the Year. The Jurassic earned Newsletter of the Year for Trekosaurus.

There were many award winners, but I know I will miss someone, so congratulations to all.

Best line in a MSR goes to the Jurassic for ‘still working on their special project … how to get more hours into a day, but so far no luck.’ Please let me know as results progress. Best story goes to the Schweitzer for describing their log on problems for filing their MSR. Too long to run, but it had me on the floor. <G>

On the good news front, I got surprised at Region Three’s summit with promotion to Admiral. My thanks to Brad Pense for the cool rank pins.

Correy Ops:

Well between summit and an unexpected trip out of town, Shell had the opportunity to play hooky. <G> Yes, I am getting back to work.

Happy July 4th to those celebrate the holiday.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, SS Freedom III, and USS Panther City.

Region Four – USS Dragon’s Cub, USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Five – Shuttle Escape Pod.

Region Six – Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, ISS Kerberos, USS Matrix, USS Northstar, and USS Richthofen.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve – USS Antonio Maria Valsalva, Shuttle Chicago, Shuttle Foe Hammer (last one as shuttle), USS Morning Star, USS Nomad, and ISS Normandy.

Region Thirteen - USS Pathfinder.

Region Fourteen – USS Magellan.

Region Fifteen – USS Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen – USS Moontype.

Region Twenty - USS Albion.

Correy Changes:

We had a few commissionings. The Shuttle Foe Hammer is Space Station Deep Space 12. The Shuttles Excalibur and Anubis are proudly sporting USS in front of their names. Congratulations to all and I hope y’all have long life, great times and many adventures exploring of the Fleet.

Welcome to the correy family Shuttle Tiger in Region One and Shuttle Escape Pod in Region Five. Welcome to the list Brad and Kenny Danner from the Tiger and from the Escape Pod David Kania and Shawn McVay.

Correy Activities:

Reading the MSRs, everyone is having great and productive offerings. You name the area, community service, chapter activities or social outings; you will find a correy doing it.

Various crewmembers of the Morning Star put in many volunteer hours, covering the board from recycling to street feeding. Locks of Love received a hair donation from the Jurassic. The Deliverance is planning a joint charity venture with the Questar.

The Shuttle Chicago crew formed their MSG The Enforcers. Cool name.

Many groups such as the Hell’s Fury, the Odin’ Fury, and the Dark Star continue looking at new ways to recruit new members.

Crews of the Vanguard and the Europe are enjoying many online activities. Players on the Matrix have a new RPG: EVA Suit Golf Tournament. Can I watch? The Dauntless’ e-mail RPG is up and running.

The Onizuka road tour continues with sightseeing in Amarillo, Texas. The Admiral’s Yacht from the Excalibur journeyed to visit an Akron Aeros baseball game. Away Team from the Independence toured Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountain National Park. For the kick off of the Kentucky Derby Season, the Pride of Scotland held a thunder party.

The ISS Macarthur’s commissioning party happened in Tampa at The Green Iguana. Online commissioning party was enjoyed by the Albion. Shuttle Tiger members celebrated their launch with a Wrath of Khan viewing. The Northstar held a party to launch their new mission as a correy chapter.

Members of the Ian Fleming and the Anubis attended the Region Fifteen Summit. All report a great time and wonderful commissioning.

Both the Moontype and the Stormbringer went to Denver’s Starfest. The recruitment party thrown by the Stormbringer netted new members and a keg of Guinness. Not surprising, they promoted the keg.

Think the Antonio Maria Valsalva’s report say it best - still here and having fun. Love the sound of that.

On the good news front Garrick Halverson CO of the Ian Fleming was promoted to Vice Admiral. Congratulations.

Correy Ops:

Once again we are gathering correy publications for the files to share and show off. Folks interested in starting one or jazzing up an existing newsletter, ask for examples. And Shell learns as well. <G>

If you want to help, please e-mail me privately. And thanks for your assistance.

Hope all are enjoying Memorial Weekend.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Correy Changes:

The Jaguar has done the command flip - John Adcock is now the CO, Susan Ueffing is the XO. This change moves them into Region Seven. Another regional sticker will be added on their hull. <G>

Shuttle Chicago out of Region Twelve has launched, we welcome to the list Jay Hurd their CO. Also welcome to the family the USS Northstar out of Region Seven.

Also we had the happy news of the commission of ISS MacArthur and the USS Albion. The Albion now moves officially into Region Twenty. Congratulations to both groups and may all of your adventures be interesting.

Correy Activities:

Reading the MSRs, all are having a great and fun springtime.

The Morning Star held a Brown Bag Social for good fellowship and fun in fandom, while watching How William Shatner Changed The World. Celebrating birthdays with lunch and shopping was on the schedule for the Anubis.

Shuttle Chicago visited their Mommy. The Bennu attended a USS Tri-Star meeting. Crew from the Foe Hammer enjoyed Steel Con, while the Hell’s Fury took in the fun of ExpoMart, meeting up with members of the Inferno. The MacArthur hosted a poker night with other chapters participating. The Ambassador At Large from the Onizuka is journeying through the gulf coast visiting other Fleet chapters. Pride of Scotland members are visiting their membership in Region Seven and Region Fifteen. Nice road trip.

The Edinburgh, the DeBraak and the Matrix did their part to help support the Maryland Public Television Pledge Drive. Take Back the Night 5k race to support victims of abuse was helped organized by Independence crewmembers.

The Moontype continues logo work for club gear. The Charleston held a crafty movie night of beading and Dr. Who - what a combination. RPG is progressing nicely for Dauntless players. The Matrix targ still expecting, so stand by for further bulletins. The Aurora Vulcanus is experiencing Sudoku.

So many are taking courses during the spring. Graduates include members from such groups as the Vanguard, the Europe, the Excalibur, the Albion, the Dark Star, the DeBraak, the Odin’s Fury, the Freedom III, and the Saint George.

The Strombringer checked out the Warp 11 concert and passed along their website. http://www.warp11.com. Thanks for information. The Celtic Woman Concert was enjoyed by the Deliverance, while members of the Dragon’s Cub went back in time to the Scottish Games.

Many of us like the Normandy are gearing up for spring. Or as the Ian Fleming put it, ‘With signs of Spring around us members are coming out of hibernation.’ Of course with season the Jurassic is what else, going fishing.

Craig Wood, Shuttle Independence’s CO has been in the hospital. The Ian Fleming’s XO Peg Pellerin was struck by a car while walking; they report she is ok but a bit sore. We wish both a speedy recovery.

On the good news front the Rutledge welcomed their newest cadet Kaitlyn Marie Livingston (Katie). Congratulations to the proud parents.

Correy Ops:

Starting this month, I am letting Michael Vermoesen know who is getting low membership numbers to plug for folks based in Region 99. He is receiving current contact information as well as the group’s correy write up to pass on. Plus he gets each new pdf version of the correy contact sheets. I really thank Mike for helping us get the word out how much fun and wonderful the correspondence experience is.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Two - USS Dauntless, USS Draco, Shuttle MacArthur, and USS Rising Moon.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, SS Freedom III, and USS Panther City.

Region Four - Shuttle Albion, Dragon’s Cub, USS Onizuka, USS Peacekeeper, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Six - Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, ISS Kerberos, USS Matrix, and USS Richthofen.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve - Shuttle Foe Hammer, USS Hellfire & Brimstone, USS Morning Star, USS Nomad, and ISS Normandy.

Region Thirteen - USS Jaguar and USS Pathfinder.

Region Fourteen - USS Magellan.

Region Fifteen - Shuttle Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Moontype.

Correy Changes:

New Xo for the Jaguar is John Adcock. New command team of the Anubis is Scott Stone and John Davis. Congratulations to all.

Welcome to correy family SS Bennu out of Region One. Their CO Ben Redding has joined our list.

Correy Activities:

‘On the computer’ was the activity of the month. The Anubis held their bi-monthly virtual chat. The crew of the Wasp hopes to get a chat night together. The Independence and the Jaguar are busy updating and expanding their websites. Both the Vanguard and the Europe are enjoying
online gaming. Members of the Peacekeeper met online discussing some reorging.

Many of us are focusing on recruiting projects. The Hell’s Fury continues their recruiting challenge to attach one new member to an existing membership or have a new member join per renewal period. Nice idea. Getting members in Kirk’s birthplace of Riverside Iowa is going strong for the Saint George. The Dauntless recruiters are running ads in their community newspapers. Both the Dark Star and the Magellan are getting those plans to increase Fleet’s population.

Many joined in the fun with other Fleet groups. The Bennu attended the Banshee’s movie outing to see Nine Below. USS Ohio anniversary luncheon had members from the Excalibur. The Pride of Scotland visited the ISS Reprisal for their ninth annual awards banquet. USS Maat’s monthly social night welcomed guests from the Odin’s Fury. The Majestic enjoyed Shuttle Bondar’s general meeting.

Of course social outings were on the schedule. Away teams from the Matrix, the DeBraak, and the Rutledge invaded Farpoint Convention. The Foe Hammer had a combo Commissioning / Anniversary celebration with the Claymore. Members of the Morning Star reported all had a wonderful time. Dragon’s Cub celebrated Imbolc, the fire festival marking the halfway point between winter and spring. I love reading msrs since I always learn new things.

Some of us are busy plotting future happenings. Commission plans are in development for the crew of the Albion. The next episode of Imperial Chopper is in the production by the Stormbringer. The Moontype is planning for their meeting at the American Council of the Blind National Convention and working on a presentation on how disabilities are perceived in the future. Sounds like a wonderful and enlightening offering.

The Draco reports the crew has been working on personal projects, the Kerberos is busy with extracurricular activities, the Hellfire & Brimstone is doing some house painting, and the Charleston proclaims this is to be a year of transformation. I love the positive sound of that.

On a sad note, the Aurora Vulcanus lost a beloved member, Elenore Claassen. We were blessed to have her kind spirit with our group and Ellie will be missed.

The best activity for the MSRs goes to the Schweitzer for duct taping furniture to the ceiling; Writing “Wash Me” on the back of Klingon warbirds; blogging and various other anti-social behaviors.

Correy Ops:

Due to many information changes and a cranky computer, my normal update to Joe was not done in February. The March update just got to him, so thanks for understanding that the site is a little behind. If you sent me a correction or a better graphic, it is being take care of.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Region Thirteen - USS Jaguar.

Region Fifteen - Shuttle Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen – USS Moontype.

Correy Changes:

New CO of Shuttle Dark Star is Tracy Lilly. Shuttle Independence did the command flip, Craig Wood III moves up from XO, while Greg Franklin moves to the XO slot. Congratulations to all.

We also have to a new addition to the family USS Peacekeeper in Region Four. Welcome.

Correy Activities:

Many are looking at plans for the year. The Odin’s Fury is doing a little reorganizing as they grow, while the Charleston is doing a ‘regroup and review’ systems. Shuttle Excalibur is busy developing their crew handbook and commissioning plans. Recruiting techniques and a new website are the focus for workers on the Shuttle Albion. The Normandy is busy patrolling on Region Twelve’s outer rim territories.

Community outreach projects are gearing up for our groups. A disaster awareness seminar was completed by members of the Morning Star. The Rutledge continues to support Eagles Warmth Project, collecting sweats for wounded soldiers to wear around hospitals.

Donating blood and clipping coupons for OCP is going great for the crew of the Saint George. The Jurassic had a busy 2005 with their stitching donations of forty three baby blankets, fifty afghan and a ton of other baby items. Way to go.

So many of us are starting off the year taking Academy courses. Graduates list from such groups as the Edinburgh, the DeBraak, the Hells Fury’s, the Schweitzer, and the Nomad.

But don’t think it is all work. ‘Borg and Beans’ role playing continues for the members on the Matrix. The card sharks from the Jaguar are enjoying online poker with other fleet personnel. Film Buffs of the Draco attended a showing of The Chronicles of Narnia, giving the movie high marks.

Road trips were on the schedule. The Anubis joined Shuttle Menahga in a belated holiday dinner and exploration of the sites of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The Moontype attended an after holiday party and model building day, constructing the Enterprise in legos. I would love to see that one.

Hellfire and Brimstone members journeyed to the Oklahoma City Bombing memorial. Both the MacArthur and the Onizuka attended STARFLEET Day at the Kennedy Space Center. The Pride of Scotland and the Questar sent a combined away team to the Louisville Science Center to see such exhibits as alien planets and mummies.

The Stormbringer sent a representative to International Consumer Electronics Show. Lucky. Region Three’s Austin Retreat had folks from the Freedom III and the Aurora Vulcanus. We had a delicious time sampling the food offerings for the upcoming summit.

On the happy news front. Shuttle Deliverance welcomed their newest cadet, Carlos William Bruckman. Congratulations to the proud parents Ricardo and Joan Bruckman.

And congratulations to Robbie Lewis on promotion to Admiral.

Correy Ops:

Things are humming right along. <G>

Until next time enjoy the adventure,

Here are the chapters reporting for December of 2005.

Region One - USS Charleston, Shuttle Dark Star, Shuttle Deliverance, Shuttle Excalibur, USS Hell’s Fury, Shuttle Independence, USS Jurassic, USS Normandy, Shuttle Odin’s Fury, USS Pathfinder, USS Pride of Scotland, USS Rutledge, and Shuttle Schweitzer.

Region Two - USS Dauntless, USS Draco, and Shuttle MacArthur.

Region Three - USS Aurora Vulcanus, SS Freedom III, and USS Panther City.

Region Four - Shuttle Albion, USS Dragon’s Cub, USS Onizuka, and USS Stormbringer.

Region Six - Saint George.

Region Seven - USS DeBraak, USS Edinburgh, ISS Kerberos, USS Matrix, and USS Richthofen.

Region Nine - USS Europe and USS Vanguard.

Region Ten - USS Majestic.

Region Twelve - USS Antonio Maria Valsalva, USS Hellfire & Brimstone, USS Morning Star, and USS Nomad.

Region Thirteen - USS Jaguar and USS Maquis.

Region Fifteen - Shuttle Anubis and SS Ian Fleming.

Region Seventeen - USS Carson and USS Moontype.

Correy Changes:

After their merge, the ISS Saratoga decided to go meeting. We wish them much success.

The Pathfinder’s CO Robin Pillow has moved to Michigan and therefore the chapter is moving to Region Thirteen.

The Normandy has a new CO Mike Malotte, which moves the now ISS Normandy to Region Twelve. The new CO of the Matrix is Joe Hoolihan. The Edinburgh’s XO Rosy Dorffner was promoted to Commander. Congratulations to all.

Correy Activities:

The holiday activities filled all of our schedules during the month. The party for the Morning Star crew included Christmas ornaments for each attendee. Members of the Draco attended Yule celebrations with the USS Hephestus. The Onizuka met with members of Cascade Station for a
Christmas gift exchange in Chico. Christmas dinner at the Majestic’s CO’s quarters was enjoyed by all. Chrismahanukwanzakah Party was held by the Stormbringer. Can I see the Hallmark card for that one?

Ian Fleming members attended the Region Fifteen Christmas party at the Hampshire Inn in Seabrook New Hampshire. Many of our crews including members of the Normandy and the Hell’s Fury took shore leave to spend time with families.

Shuttle Deliverance participated in the Boars Head Festival. The Charleston held their second annual New Year’s Eve Movie Marathon, concentrating on the Star Wars saga. The Excalibur joined the USS Ohio in a Narnia movie outing. Members of the Aurora Vulcanus shopped Christmas on the Kemah Boardwalk, while Dauntless conducted away missions to the movies and a museum.

The season also brought out the best in correy members. The Shuttle MacArthur’s food drive for the Tampa Aids Network continues, while the USS Dragon’s Cub is sending coffee to the different military units troops on a monthly basis. A displaced Katrina family had a wonderful Christmas thanks to the Pride of Scotland. Both the Antonio Maria Valsalva and the Saint George had successful Toys for Tots drives.

And yes, a little work was happening. Shuttle Anubis is getting into SETI. The Marines off the Jaguar are reading up a storm for the SFMC Reading Challenge. Both the Vanguard and Europe enjoyed some on line Gaming over the season. Website for the Dark Star is completed at http://www.ussdarkstar.com.

The Odin’s Fury is reporting great headway in forming their chapter’s bylaws. Donating Star Trek collectibles and write fan fiction were going strong for members of the Rutledge. The staff of the Moontype drafted an expert in model building to assist them in the construction of their ship model.

The Kerberos is helping new ISS groups in the fleet and starting to get them involved in joint fiction. I look forward to reading their tales.

The Jurassic reports - ‘Ah, the holidays! Frosted windowpanes, candy canes, good cheer, high heating bills, scraping frozen car windows. Well, nothing is perfect.’ That wraps up the season with a bow.

Best comment goes to the Hellfire and Brimstone under problems section - ‘None. Way to busy for anything to go wrong.’ I like that.

Correy Ops:

Had a productive holiday. The website is completed minus the January updates. We have the January pdf in the hopper. And with the beginning of a new year, we are getting more requests to join or start correy groups. We had a successful 2005 and I expect 2006 to be more of the same.

Until next time enjoy the adventure,
